Accessibility Statement

We want every student to be able to revise with StudyPie, including those using a screen reader, keyboard only, magnification or reduced motion.

Last updated: 12 August 2026

1. Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across studypie.co.uk and the study workspace. Accessibility is checked as part of design review rather than treated as a later fix.

2. What we do today

  • Semantic headings, landmarks and labelled form fields throughout.
  • Full keyboard operation, with visible focus styles and skip-to-content behaviour.
  • Contrast checked against AA thresholds for body text, labels and interactive states.
  • Motion kept minimal, with animation reduced automatically when your system requests it.
  • Text resizes and reflows to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

3. Known limitations

  • Generated mind maps and timelines are visual; a text outline of the same content is provided in the study pack, and we are improving the labelling of the diagram itself.
  • Exported PDFs are tagged for reading order but complex tables may still read imperfectly in some readers.
  • Some third-party embeds (for example YouTube players in tutorials) follow their provider's accessibility behaviour rather than ours.

4. Reporting a barrier

If something blocks you, email hello@studypie.co.uk with the page and what happened. We reply within 1–2 UK business days, Monday to Friday, and will tell you the fix or a workaround. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
