Terms of Service

By creating an account or otherwise using StudyPie (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are under 18, use the Service with the knowledge of a parent, guardian or teacher.

You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account, including when you sign in with Google. One account is for one person; do not share logins. Tell us promptly at hello@studypie.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

• Free Sip: 10 study packs and 10 practice tests each month, flashcards, and the free demo of each study tool.
• Half Pie (£12/month) and Whole Pie (£22/month): higher or unlimited allowances, the full study-tool set, exports and priority generation as described on the pricing page.
• Allowances reset monthly. Fair-use limits apply to AI generation and tutor messages; automated or bulk use may be rate limited.
• Prices shown on the pricing page are current. We give at least 30 days' notice by email before an increase affects your renewal.

You keep ownership of everything you upload and of the study packs, decks and tests generated from it. You grant us only the licence needed to store, process and display that material to you, and to send it to our AI processors to produce your output. You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. StudyPie's software, design, brand and content remain ours.

AI output is a study aid, not a source of truth. It can be incomplete or wrong, and you remain responsible for checking it before relying on it. Rules on AI assistance differ between institutions and assessments: it is your responsibility to follow your own institution's policy. StudyPie is not a ghostwriting service.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in pounds sterling through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at any time from Billing; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. Your statutory UK cancellation rights and the refunds we give voluntarily are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

We aim to keep the Service available and improve it continuously, which means features may change, and occasional maintenance or downtime is possible. We will not remove a core feature of a paid plan without notice; if we materially reduce what you pay for, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused period.

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us. On termination you can export your content for 30 days before deletion.

The Service is provided "as is" and we do not warrant that AI output is accurate or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost grades, lost profits or indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence. Questions: legal@bitechnology.co.uk.
